Work for bipartisan solutions on the national debt. North Carolinians need representatives that will work across the aisle for solutions and results – not someone who plays partisan politics that creates gridlock. Businesses need to know what investments and tax policies will look like for several years before investing capital and creating new jobs. The failure of Congress to deal with our growing debt stifles our economy.

Focus on solutions that really work. Cutting expenses while refusing to reevaluate our tax system isn’t a complete solution. It’s a talking point that ignores the real problems of inequality and stagnant growth. Everything must be on the table as the Bowles-Simpson report, a bipartisan approach, indicates.
